Thanks to a flexible sandwich construction, in which ultrafine aluminium strips are embedded in a plastic coating, the mudguards are extremely robust, rigid and corrosion-resistant.

The ASR safety system uncouples the stays should anything become trapped between the spokes and the mudguard stays.
